Identity from the Inside Out by Pastor Ty
David wrote in Psalm 24:3-4 - Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.
Identity requires alignment. You cannot rise into a new identity while holding onto an old lifestyle. The mountain of the Lord is not climbed by talent, charisma, or ambition but by character, purity, and surrender… Clean hands = purified actions - Pure heart = purified motives.
This makes me think of a great song, Inside Out by Hillsong United:
“A thousand times I've failed, Still your mercy remains, And should I stumble again, Still I'm caught in your grace. Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades. Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame. My heart and my soul, Lord I give you control. Consume me from the inside out Lord. Let justice and praise become my embrace, To love You from the inside out.
Your will above all else, my purpose remains. The art of losing myself in bringing you praise. And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise, From the inside out Lord, my soul cries out…”
A new identity demands a new integrity. God doesn’t raise who you pretend to be. He raises who you allow Him to transform.
You can rise up because God is cleansing you from the inside out.
